Infield Academy Add-On
Like an Open Gym for Ground Balls. This is an additional add on for those in the academy. Less structure and coaching, with more reps. Sometimes its good to let them have a chance to learn about themselves through trial and error. Coaches will be there but its more of a fun day with tons of reps and less hands on from our staff. It’s the perfect way to apply everything you’ve learned in the Ground Ball Academy and gain more confidence through reps.

Why Join the Infield Academy?
Why should my athlete join the Infield Academy?
Infield is one of the lost arts of baseball and softball. If you are a good infielder, you have a much higher chance of getting playing time than if you can only hit. Coaches look for players who can make plays and keep runs off the board. The Academy gives athletes the tools to stand out, clean glove work, quick feet, and the confidence to make the routine and tough plays every game.
What makes this different from regular practice?
Team practices split time between hitting, pitching, and defense. Infielders might only get a few ground balls. The Academy is only about infield. We focus on mechanics, footwork, glove work, and drills in a structured program. Every week builds on the last, so athletes keep improving through the fall and winter and are ready to shine in the spring.
Who will be coaching my athlete?
Our leading infield coach, Humberto Alarcon, has been an infield coach at Chemeketa CC and Linn-Benton CC over the last 5 years. We will also have other former and current college players as guest coaches to help out!
Is this for beginners or advanced players?
Both. Beginners learn the basics like fielding position, glove angle, and throwing. Advanced players build speed, footwork, and game awareness. Everyone improves at their own pace but follows the same proven system.

Will this prepare my athlete for the next level?
Yes. Strong infielders move up faster. Whether that means making the starting lineup in youth ball, earning a spot in high school, or catching the eye of a college coach later on, this program builds the foundation athletes need to keep climbing.
Do you offer Hitting as well?
Yes. Our facility is a hitting focused training facility, with memberships for all different types of levels and players. Check out our Memberships page for more info!
